South Africa is situated on the southern most tip of Africa. It is made up of nine provinces. Popular travel destinations in the country include visiting Table Mountain and Robben Island in the Western Cape, Kruger National Park in Mpumalanga and chilling on the beaches in KwaZulu Natal. South Africa is made up of roughly 58 million people.

Capital


South Africa has three capitals. Pretoria is the executive capital. Cape Town is the legislative capital and Bloemfontein is the judicial capital.


Currency


South Africa’s currency is the Rand (ZAR).


Language


There are eleven (11) official languages in South Africa. These are English, Afrikaans, Zulu, Xhosa, Venda, Tsonga, Tswana, Northern Sotho, Southern Sotho, Ndebele and Swati. English is commonly spoken around the country.
