Coffee Shops Jeffreys Bay
Jeffrey’s Bay turned out to be one of the towns we enjoyed the most, the people were really friendly and the town itself had everything we could need. One of the things we noticed was that the town itself was designed for remote working, I am not sure if it has always been like that or has just developed but we were pleasantly surprised. This ensured that we had quite a few choices for places to work during our workdays, and there was also a dedicated co-working space. We were there for a few nights and these are the Coffee Shops in Jeffreys Bay that you should visit.
Infood Coffee Roastery
Location:
Infood Coffee Roastery is situated along the main road on one of the side streets. It’s easy to locate and there is ample public parking along the main street. There is ample seating both inside as well as outdoors. The coffee shop has an eclectic vibe and when you enter you are transported to a roastery with lovely coffee aromas. It is part of the Infood group.
Facilities:
Some of the facilities which we look for, especially for having a productive working experience include good WIFI, plug points to charge your devices, especially laptops and interesting tasty food and drinks. Prior to visiting any of the coffee shops, I phone to make sure they do have the facilities I am looking for in order to work. And only visit upon receiving confirmation of this.
WIFI
Infood Coffee Roastery has WIFI and we requested the password from our waitress who happily obliged. Initially, when I used the WIFI, the signal strength was good and it worked, however, after a little while it stopped working. I did inform the waitress and she did call her manager to assist which they attempted but it didn’t work after that. I am not sure if that was a once-off as we were only there for about two hours. There was no limit on the WIFI which is a bonus.
Plug Points
We did request to be seated near a plug point which they did have in the indoor section. We sat on sofas that surrounded a small table and there were plug points there which we used to charge our laptops.
Food & Drink
Infood Coffee Roastery had such wonderful items on their menu and we were spoilt for choice. In terms of drinks, we wanted to try something different so we opted for the iced tea and the lemon, mint, and litchi juice. Both were served in jugs which were more than enough for one person. And both these drinks were so yummy, definitely would recommend you try them out.
As for food, we tried the Southern fried chicken waffle, and it was delicious. Something very different filled with lots of flavour and so filling. We really enjoyed it.
They also have a wide selection of coffees on sale which you can purchase from them including coffee equipment.
Service
The service was great, the waitress was helpful and attentive. And she was also willing to help and patient with us making our choices. From what we saw, all the staff were friendly and offered great service.

Recommendation / Value for money:
Infood Coffee Society offers great service and delicious food and for those reasons, it is value for money and a must-visit when you are in the area.
First Light Coffee Bar
Location:
First Light Coffee Bar was such a lovely discovery. It is also situated just off the main street so it can easily be found. They have ample parking next to the restaurant as well as the opposite. It does get busy in the mornings. They have seating both indoors and outside, however, these are limited so be sure to get there early.
Facilities:
WIFI
They have WIFI at First Light Coffee Bar and you request the password from the staff who happily obliged. The WIFI had a great signal for the duration of our visit and there weren’t any limitations in terms of the usage, which we appreciated. And we saw lots of other people working on their laptops so it seems to be a popular hangout.
Plug Points
There were a few plug points in the interior of the coffee shop, however, because we did get there a bit late those seats were already occupied. But these are available and you are able to use them which is great. And I am sure if the need arose and we had to use it, they would have accommodated our request.
Food & Drink
One of my favourite parts about visiting different coffee shops is trying out new meals and variations on drinks. So I was excited to try out a Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk and an iced tea with sparkling water. Both were different but in the best possible way. We also shared a Mediterranean toasted sandwhich and that was delicious. The entire meal came to a whole of R100.00 which we could not believe. You have to place your orders at the counter and pay for your bill at the counter.
There are also other items, including coffee which you can purchase to take home with you.
Service
The staff was super friendly and so helpful. They made us feel very comfortable and even enquired about where we were travelling to and what our plans were. I always enjoy meeting new people and sharing stories so it was refreshing.

Infood Society
Location:
Infood Society is situated on the main road so you can get easier to locate. There is also ample parking situated directly outside the venue. The parking is free so that’s a plus point. This is also part of the Infood group, however, it’s a completely different vibe to the coffee roastery.
Facilities:
Infood Society has seating both indoors and outdoors. It’s an open and spacious restaurant and offers healthy eating options.
WIFI
There was WIFI available, so we requested the password from the waitress and connected easily. The connection was stable and there was no limitation on our usage for the duration of our time at the restaurant.
Plug Points
The tables had plug points depending on where you choose to be seated. And there were other people also working from the venue who were using plug points so they are accommodating and catered to these needs.
Food & Drink
Infood Society has established itself as a healthy eatery and the offerings mimic this. You will find fresh juices, smoothies, plant-based items, smoothie bowls, and other meals. You are spoilt for choice.
We had an iced macadamia coffee, lemon, and mint juice for drinks. Both were yummy and good sizes. We also shared a breakfast tortilla which consisted of two tortillas filled with scrambled eggs, onion, tomato salsa, cheese, and avocado. This was also delicious.
There is also a bakery at the venue where you are able to purchase baked goods as well as some deli items. So during our visit, we witnessed many people stop by to purchase some of their favourite items.
Service
We enjoyed great service from our waitress, she was attentive and very helpful. We also appreciated her communication and patience throughout our visit.
